CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Electricity Extension Loan 1959, £100,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of one hundred thousand pounds (£100,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the distribution system and electrical reticulation of the Council’s electricity undertaking, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and eighty-one thousand four hundred and thirteen/ two million five-hundred thousandths of a penny (181,413/ 2,500,000d.) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the 10th day of August 1959, passed the above resolution.

GREY COUNTY COUNCIL

KARORO COUNTY TOWN WATER SUPPLY LOAN 1959

FOR the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of five thousand pounds authorised to be raised by the Grey County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Grey County Council has made a special rate of decimal four three seven pence in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the Karoro County Town; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

GREY COUNTY COUNCIL

CROOKED RIVER BRIDGE ROTOMANU LOAN 1959

FOR the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one thousand five hundred pounds authorised to be raised by the Grey County Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Grey County Council has made a special rate of decimal five two five pence in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Poerua-Rotomanu Special Rating Area comprising all the area included in the special roll duly prepared and authenticated; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of seven years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HAVELOCK NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme, under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, for the Borough of Havelock North was approved by the Council, by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 13th day of August 1959, after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed, and all variations of the scheme required by the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board had been incorporated.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 10th day of September 1959.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office and in every public library in the district, and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the district schemes, under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, in operation in the part of the City of Nelson which was transferred from the County of Waimea on the 1st day of April 1958 have become due for review under section 30 of that Act and are at present under review accordingly.

A statement of the changes proposed to be made therein has been deposited in the Council’s office and in every public library in the district and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when those places are open to the public.

Public notice is also given that an amendment to the City of Nelson District Planning Scheme which became operative on the 1st day of August 1958 is proposed, and that a statement of this amendment has also been deposited as aforesaid and is similarly open to inspection by any person.

The two above-mentioned proposed changes are being treated wholly as a review of the Council’s operative schemes.

Objections to the proposed changes in the scheme or in respect of any portion of the operative schemes which the Council proposes to confirm without any change may be made by way of written notice in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, or to the like effect, and lodged at the office of the Town Clerk marked “Objection to District Scheme” at any time not later than Monday, the 30th day of November 1959.

CHRISTCHURCH REGIONAL PLANNING SCHEME—SECTION 1 (RURAL ZONE)

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, Amendment No. 1 1956, public notice is hereby given that the regional planning scheme, under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and its amendments, for section 1 (Rural Zone) of the Christchurch Region, after all objections and appeals relating to the scheme have been disposed of and the scheme has been modified to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed and all modifications of the scheme required by the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board have been incorporated, is now deemed to be approved and shall therefore become operative on the 1st day of September 1959.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the offices of Christchurch Regional Planning Authority, Christchurch City Council, Kaiapoi Borough Council, Riccarton Borough Council, Eyre County Council, Halswell County Council, Heathcote County Council, Paparua County Council, Waimairi County Council, and in every public library in the region and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.
