A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

Land Proclaimed as Road

ALL those pieces of land situated in the Mangawhero Survey District, Wellington R.D., described as follows:

SECOND SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

Road Closed

ALL that piece of road containing 8 acres and 28 perches, situated in the Mangawhero Survey District, Wellington R.D., adjoining or passing through closed road and Rural Sections 87, 89, and 90, Paraekaretu Block, Block XV; also Rural Sections 91 and 92, Paraekaretu Block, Block XVI; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 159709 (S.O. 23582) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 12th day of August 1959.

SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of road containing 15·5 perches, situated in Block II, Tiger Hill Survey District, Otago R.D., adjoining Section 20, part Section 21, and Crown land; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 159705 (S.O. 12605) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 12th day of August 1959.

Defining the Middle Line of a Road in Block VIII, Pohue Survey District, viz, a Deviation of the Taupo-Napier Main Highway

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of a road to be constructed over Block VIII, Pohue Survey District, viz, a deviation of the Taupo-Napier Main Highway, shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall effect only that land situated within the limits of the areas shown coloured red on the plan marked P.W.D. 159746 referred to in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT

COMMENCING at a point on the centre line of the Taupo-Napier Main Highway, at route mileage 57·18, 1 mile 18 chains northwards by measurement along the middle of the existing highway, from the left bank end of the existing Mohaka River Bridge and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 68 chains to the middle of the Mohaka River at a point 18·7 chains down stream from the existing Mohaka River Bridge; thence down stream along the middle of the said Mohaka River for a distance of approximately 33 chains; thence generally in a south-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 24 chains along a right line to its intersection with the middle line of the new Mohaka River Bridge approach deviation at chainage 1 mile 47 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, etc., viz, Tarawera Residue No. 1 Block, and part Section 5, Block VIII, Pohue Survey District, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and water courses; all in the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 159746 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation Defining the Middle Line of a Portion of the Wellington-Napier Railway

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 10th day of December 1924, published in Gazette, 11 December 1924, Volume III, page 2898, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as No. 1482, defining the middle line of a portion of the Wellington-Napier Railway, in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.
