PAPAKURA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Papakura Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £6,800 authorised to be raised by the Papakura Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of completing the purposes for which the Water Supply Improvement Loan 1952 was sanctioned, the said Papakura Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nine of a penny (.09d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Papakura comprising the whole of the Borough of Papakura; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off.”

Dated at Papakura this 27th day of July 1959.

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Westshore Bridge Loan 1959, £28,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £28,000 (twenty-eight thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting Council’s share of the cost of the bridge between Ahuriri and Westshore, construction of approaches, and incorporation of water main in bridge, the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one nought two (.102) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 31st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

McLean Park Grandstand Loan 1959, £15,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000) authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a grandstand at McLean Park, the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought six eight (.068) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 31st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

OTAGO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE

General Extension Loan 1959, £50,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otago Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s General Extension Loan 1959 of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Otago Electric Power Board under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s district, the Otago Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of five thirty-seconds of a penny (5/32d.) in the pound on the rateable capital value of all rateable property within the inner area of the Otago Electric Power District (which includes portion of the Counties of Bruce, Clutha, Tuapeka, Maniototo, Taieri, Waihemo, Waikouaiti, and Southland, together with the Boroughs of Balclutha, Kaitangata, Lawrence, Naseby, Palmerston, and Waikouaiti); and it is hereby further resolved that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said General Extension Loan 1959, or until the said loan has been fully repaid, and the special rate be and the same is hereby appropriated and pledged as security for the repayment of the said loan and for payment of interest thereon and other charges under the securities to be issued in respect of the said loan.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Otago Electric Power Board held on the 16th day of June 1959.

OPAKI WATER SUPPLY

Appointment of Managing Ratepayer

PURSUANT to the Water Supply Amendment Act 1913, notice is hereby given that Darrell Wilton Harris, of “Oaklea”, Opaki Road, Masterton, farmer, has been appointed a managing ratepayer of the Opaki Water Supply in place of Robert Harris, of “Oaklea”, Opaki Road, Masterton, resigned.

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Bay of Islands County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the taking of land for a public road; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk of the said Council, situate in Albert Street, Kawakawa, and is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Albert Street, Kawakawa.
