Closely Populated Area Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. That Warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 18th day of August 1955,* which relates to an area at Porirua East in Makara County, is hereby revoked.

  2. The area specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Makara County at Porirua East—

All that area at Porirua East and including that portion of the Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial State Highway No. 34 from a point 27 chains south of its junction with Mungavin Avenue to the junction of Mepham Place with the said State highway, the whole area being more particularly indicated within the red border on plan No. TT. 2379 in the office of the Transport Department at Wellington.

Limited Speed Zone Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the road specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Masterton County—

South Belt Road (from its junction with the Masterton-Wellington State Highway No. 32 to the junction of South Road with South Belt Road).

Infected Areas Declared Under the Citrus Canker Regulations 1952 (Notice No. Ag. 6818)

PURSUANT to the Citrus Canker Regulations 1952, notice is hereby given that the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto have been declared to be infected areas for the purposes of the said regulations.

ALL that piece of land containing 1 rood 0·6 perches, more or less, situate in the Borough of New Plymouth, being Lot 83 on D.P. 1792, and being part Section “B”, Fitzroy District.

All that piece of land containing 1 rood 8·7 perches, more or less, situate in the Borough of New Plymouth, being Lot 2 on D.P. 1792, and being part Section “B”, Fitzroy District.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in Borough of Cambridge (Notice No. Ag. 6815)

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said section, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Cambridge Borough Council on the 22nd day of July 1959.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT the Cambridge Borough Council hereby declares, by way of special order, that all plants mentioned or included in the First Schedule to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 (as the same has been extended by Order in Council under section 4 of the said Act) are noxious weeds within the whole of its district (Cambridge and Leamington Wards).
