Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block IV, Waihi South Survey District, for Road

——

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice is hereby further given that the plans of the land so required to be taken are deposited in the post office at Tauranga and are there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of the land, set forth the same in writing, and send the writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

——

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Notice Under Section 30 of the Maori Trustee Act 1953

——

PURSUANT to section 30 of the Maori Trustee Act 1953, the Maori Trustee hereby gives notice that a list of unclaimed moneys dated the 1st day of July 1959, derived from the South Island Maori Land Court District, and held by him, has been filed in the office of the Registrar of the Maori Land Court at Whangarei, Auckland, Rotorua, Gisborne, Wanganui, Wellington, and Christchurch, and at all suboffices of the Department of Maori Affairs, where the same may be inspected during office hours without payment of fee.

Unclaimed Property—Notice of Election by the Public Trustee to Become Manager Under the Public Trust Office Act 1957, Part V

——

WHEREAS after due inquiry it is not known where the owner of the property described in the Schedule hereto is or whether he is alive or dead; and whereas the gross value of the said property (as estimated by the Public Trustee) does not exceed £2,000 and, for the purposes of subsection (2) of section 80 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, the Public Trustee is satisfied that it is advisable that he should become the manager of the said property; now, therefore, the Public Trustee, in exercise of the authority conferred upon him by the said subsection (2), hereby elects to be manager of the said property under Part V of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situate in the Provincial District of Otago containing 31 perches, more or less, being Section 8, Block XII, Town of Tapanui, and the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 21, folio 269, Otago Registry. The registered proprietor of the said land is James Smith, of Tapanui, settler.
