A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Foxton Railway (Manawatu Bridge Deviation).

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 21·2 perches.
Being part Section 22, Karere Block.
Situated in Block XIV, Kairanga Survey District, Kairanga County. (S.O. 24414.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 16110 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 17th day of July 1959.

The Seacliff Mental Hospital Order 1959, Amendment No. 1

PURSUANT to section 8 of the Mental Health Amendment Act 1950, as amended by section 3 of the Mental Health Amendment Act 1958, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Seacliff Mental Hospital Order 1959, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Seacliff Mental Hospital Order 1959* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

  2. The Schedule to the principal order is hereby amended, as from the commencement thereof, by omitting the words “S.O. Plan 11556”, and substituting the words “S.O. Plan 12513”.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Eketahuna Rabbit District Order 1959.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The boundaries of the Eketahuna Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 15th day of May 1946,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE EKETAHUNA RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the right bank of the Mangaone Stream, in line with the south-western boundary of Section 30A, Block IV, Mangaone Survey District, the said point being a point on the boundary of the Eketahuna Rabbit District as described in the Gazette, 1946, at page 676; thence north-easterly along the right bank of the Mangaone Stream to the south-western boundary of Section 16, Block IV, Mangaone Survey District; thence south-easterly along that boundary, across Mangaone Valley Road to and along Pa Valley Road to the northern boundary of Section 175, Rangitumau Block; thence easterly generally along that boundary to the Tiraumea River; thence southerly generally up that river to Saunders Road; thence north-easterly along Saunders Road and Puketoi Road, to the northern boundary of Section 10s, Puketoi Settlement; thence westerly generally to Puketoi Trig. Station; thence north-easterly along the summit of the Puketoi Range to Peg VIII; thence south-easterly along traverse lines to the northernmost corner of Section 23, Block III, Puketoi Survey District, along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 23, 9, 10, and 13, Block III aforesaid, the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 2 and 10, Block IV, Puketoi Survey District, the north-western boundaries of Section 9, Block IV aforesaid, and the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Section 8, Block IV aforesaid, to the Alfredton-Weber Road; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 9, Block VIII, Puketoi Survey District; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary, the south-eastern boundary of that section, and the north-eastern boundaries of Section 13, Block VIII aforesaid, and Sections 32 and 33, Block V, Aohanga Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence south-westerly generally along the eastern boundary of the said Section 33, to the Waihoki Valley Road, along the northern side of that road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block VIII aforesaid, to and along that boundary and the eastern boundaries of Sections 20, 222, and 22, Block XII, Puketoi Survey District, along the southern boundaries of Sections 22, 15, and 14, Block XII aforesaid, the eastern boundaries of Section 193, Block XII aforesaid, and Sections 192 and 161, Whareama Block, along the north-western boundaries of Section 822, Whareama Block, the northern boundaries of Section 824, Whareama Block, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Taueru River and down the middle of that river to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 225, Whareama Block; thence westerly generally along that boundary, and northerly along the western boundaries of Sections 149 and 148, Whareama Block, to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence westerly along a right line to the easternmost corner of Section 26, Rangitumau Block, and north-westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of that section and Section 25, Rangitumau Block, to the northernmost corner of that section; thence south-westerly generally, along the north-western boundaries of Sections 25, 24, 23, 22, and 21, the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Section 20, the north-western, south-western, and south-eastern boundaries of Section 19, the north-western boundaries of Sections 140 and 141, all the aforesaid sections being sections of Rangitumau Block; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Section 211, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District, across Mangarai Road, and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 111, Rangitumau Block; thence southerly along the western boundaries of that section, and Section 112, Rangitumau Block, to and along Cleland’s Road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of part Section 118, Rangitumau Block, as shown on the plan numbered A 345, lodged in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, to and along that boundary to the southernmost corner of the said part
