✨ Racing Club Admission Regulations
of conversion or attempted conversion of a motorcar
or other vehicle or of being idle and disorderly persons
or of being a rogue and vagabond and persons con-
victed of an offence under the Gaming Act 1908, or
persons having a criminal record in countries outside
New Zealand and the references to the foregoing Acts
shall be deemed to apply to any subsequent Act con-
solidating or in substitution therefor.
Provided always that the Executive Committee appointed by
the New Zealand Racing Conference, upon being satisfied by
evidence as to the character and otherwise that any person who,
by reason of any conviction, comes within the scope of this
regulation should have relief from the effect thereof, may grant
exemption to any such person, and may at any time revoke
any such exemption without notice to such person, and without
assigning any reason for such revocation.

PAKURANGA HUNT (INC.) RESOLUTION
At a special general meeting of the members of the Pakuranga
Hunt (Inc.) held on the 29th day of May 1959 at 11.20 a.m.,
it was duly resolved as follows:
“In pursuance and exercise of the powers under section
33 of the Gaming Act 1908, it is hereby resolved that the
regulations dated the 9th day of August 1923 are hereby
revoked, and in lieu thereof the following regulations shall
be regulations under the said section 33 controlling the admis-
sion of persons to that part of the property of the Auckland
Racing Club (Inc.) situated in the City of Auckland and
the Borough of Ellerslie and known as the Ellerslie Race-
course, or to any other racecourse used or occupied by the
Club for Race meetings.”
PAKURANGA HUNT (INC.) REGULATIONS
(Under the Gaming Act 1908)

These regulations shall come into force on the date of the
same being published in the Gazette. -
In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” racing club,”
and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those
terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act 1908. -
The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded
from the racecourse above described or any other racecourse
while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a
race meeting, namely:
(a) Bookmakers.
(b) Bookmakers' clerks, bookmakers' assistants, and book-
makers' agents.
(c) All persons under disqualification imposed under the
New Zealand rules of racing or the New Zealand
rules of trotting or by the racing or trotting author-
ities in any country outside New Zealand which
have reciprocal agreements in matters of racing or
trotting with the New Zealand Racing Conference
or the New Zealand Trotting Conference.
(d) Common prostitutes, idle and disorderly persons within
the meaning of the Police Offences Act 1927.
(e) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of house break-
ing, burglary, or pocket picking, forgery, uttering or
possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, re-
ceiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence
or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act 1908,
and persons convicted under the Police Offences Act
1927 of conversion or attempted conversion of a
motorcar or other vehicle or of being idle and dis-
orderly persons or of being a rogue and vagabond and
persons convicted of an offence under the Gaming
Act 1908, or persons having a criminal record in
countries outside New Zealand and the references
to the foregoing Acts shall be deemed to apply to
any subsequent Act consolidating or in substitution
therefor.

LEVIN RACING CLUB (INC.) RESOLUTION
At a special general meeting of the Levin Racing Club (Inc.)
held on the 4th day of June 1959 at Levin, it was duly
resolved as follows:
“In pursuance and exercise of the powers under section
33 of the Gaming Act 1908, it is hereby resolved that the
regulations dated the 6th day of May 1949 are hereby
revoked, and in lieu thereof the following regulations shall
be regulations under the said section 33 controlling the ad-
mission of persons to that land comprised in certificates of
title 622/84, 461/314, 622/86, 622/85, 607/25, 607/26, 539/127,
539/128, 186/55, and 181/240, situated in the district of
Levin, containing 94 acres and 13.32 perches, more or less,
and known as the Levin Racecourse, or to any other race-
course used or occupied by the club for race meetings.”

nevirke Hunt (Inc.) held on the 22nd day of June 1959 at
Dannevirke, it was duly resolved as follows:
“In pursuance and exercise of the powers under section 33
of the Gaming Act 1908, it is hereby resolved that the regula-
tions dated the 16th day of May 1923 and the 8th day of
May 1946 are hereby revoked, and in lieu thereof the follow-
ing regulations shall be regulations under the said section
33 controlling the admission of persons to that part of the
Hastings Racecourse situated in the City of Hastings and
known as the Hastings Racecourse, or to any other racecourse
used or occupied by the club for race meetings.”
DANNEVIRKE HUNT (INC.) REGULATIONS
(Under the Gaming Act 1908)
