TEVIOT GYMKHANA SPORTS CLUB (INC.) RESOLUTION
At a special general meeting of the Teviot Gymkhana Sports Club (Inc.) held on the 23rd day of June 1959 at Roxburgh, it was duly resolved as follows:
“In pursuance and exercise of the powers under section 33 of the Gaming Act 1908, it is hereby resolved that the regulations dated the 18th day of August 1954 are hereby revoked, and in lieu thereof the following regulations shall be regulations under the said section 33 controlling the admission of persons to that part of LTR 4609, part Section 128, Block I, situated in the Teviot Survey District and known as the Roxburgh Trotting Club Racecourse, or to any other racecourse used or occupied by the club for race meetings.”

(Under the Gaming Act 1908)

These regulations shall come into force on the date of the same being published in the Gazette.

In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described or any other racecourse while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely:
(a) Bookmakers.
(b) Bookmakers’ clerks, bookmakers’ assistants, and bookmakers’ agents.
(c) All persons under disqualification imposed under the New Zealand rules of racing or the New Zealand rules of trotting or by the racing or trotting authorities in any country outside New Zealand which have reciprocal agreements in matters of racing or trotting with the New Zealand Racing Conference or the New Zealand Trotting Conference.
(d) Common prostitutes, idle and disorderly persons within the meaning of the Police Offences Act 1927.
(e) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of house breaking, burglary, or pocket picking, forgery, uttering or possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act 1908, and persons convicted under the Police Offences Act 1927 of conversion or attempted conversion of a motorcar or other vehicle or of being idle and disorderly persons or of being a rogue and vagabond and persons convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act 1908, or persons having a criminal record in countries outside New Zealand and the references to the foregoing Acts shall be deemed to apply to any subsequent Act consolidating or in substitution therefor.
Provided always that the Executive Committee appointed by the New Zealand Racing Conference, upon being satisfied by evidence as to the character and otherwise that any person who, by reason of any conviction, comes within the scope of this regulation should have relief from the effect thereof, may grant exemption to any such person, and may at any time revoke any such exemption without notice to such person, and without assigning any reason for such revocation.

NAPIER PARK RACING CLUB (INC.) RESOLUTION
At a special general meeting of the Napier Park Racing Club (Inc.) held on the 7th day of May 1959 at Napier, it was duly resolved as follows:
“In pursuance and exercise of the powers under section 33 of the Gaming Act 1908, it is hereby resolved that the regulations dated the 10th day of April 1923 are hereby revoked, and in lieu thereof the following regulations shall be regulations under the said section 33 controlling the admission of persons to that part of the racecourse situated in the District of Hawke’s Bay and known as the Napier Park Racecourse being all the land in the certificates of title, H.B. Volume 33, folio 47, Volume 128, folio 127, and Volume 161, folios 131, 133, and 134, Hawke’s Bay Land Registry, or to any other racecourse used or occupied by the club for race meetings.”

MARLBOROUGH RACING CLUB (INC.) RESOLUTION
At a special general meeting of the Marlborough Racing Club (Inc.) held on the 28th day of May 1959 at 7.45 p.m., it was duly resolved as follows:
“In pursuance and exercise of the powers under section 33 of the Gaming Act 1908, it is hereby resolved that the regulations dated the 5th day of April 1928 are hereby revoked, and in lieu thereof the following regulations shall be regulations under the said section 33 controlling the admission of persons to that part of the racecourse property situated in the District of Blenheim and known as the Waterlea Racecourse, being Lot 63, D.P. 416, and all D.P. 418, part Section 51, Omaka District, or to any other racecourse used or occupied by the club for race meetings.”
