PURSUANT to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, notice is hereby given that a meeting of Mount Eden Electrical Ltd. will be held on Thursday, 23 July 1959, at which a resolution for the voluntary winding up is to be proposed and that a meeting of the creditors of the company will be held, pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, at the offices of J. Bissett, Public Accountant, 76 Yorkshire House, Shortland Street, Auckland, on Thursday, 23 July 1959, at 10.30 a.m., at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs together with a list of creditors and the estimated amounts of their claims will be laid before the meeting and at which meeting creditors, in pursuance of section 285 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be appointed liquidator of the company and, in pursuance of section 286 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 30th day of June 1959, presented to the said Court by Preboracure Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Wellington. And that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Wellington on the 22nd day of July 1959 at 10 a.m.; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undersigned, the liquidator of Kanieri Electric Ltd., which is being wound up voluntarily, does hereby fix the 24th day of July 1959 as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims, and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 308 of the Companies Act 1955, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before the debts are proved or, as the case may be, from objecting to the distribution.

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Australasian Agencies Ltd.
NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 362 of the Companies Act 1955, Australasian Agencies Ltd. has duly entered in its minute book, on Friday, 3 July 1959, the following extraordinary resolutions:
“(1) That the company by reason of its liabilities cannot continue its business.
“(2) That it is advisable that the company should be wound up and that the company be wound up voluntarily.
“(3) That Conrad Joseph Penberthy Bashford, public accountant, of Christchurch, be nominated as liquidator of the company.”
Notice is hereby accordingly given that a meeting of creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, in the Board Room of Epworth Chambers, 176 Hereford Street, Christchurch, on Monday, 13 July 1959, at 3 p.m., at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 285 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be liquidator of the company and, in pursuance of section 286 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.
The attention of creditors is drawn to the fact that proxies required for voting at the above meeting must be lodged with the Secretary, P.O. Box 2024, Christchurch, not later than Friday, 10 July 1959.

EGMONT COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AND CLOSE ROAD
——
In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Egmont County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute by way of special order the taking of land and the closing of road at the intersection of the mid. Parihaka and Okahu-Wiremu roads in order to improve alignment, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken and closed; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and closed is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk to the said Council, situate in Napier Street, Opunake, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands and closing of such road who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the public work or to the taking of the said lands and the closing of said road must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Napier Street, Opunake.
The above special order will be confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Opunake, on 11 August 1959.
