Declaration That the Porirua Domain Shall be a Recreation Reserve and Vesting in the Makara County Council

———

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that the Porirua Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and shall be deemed to be a recreation reserve subject to Part II of the said Act, and further, pursuant to the said Act, vests the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Makara, in trust, for recreation purposes.

Kaitaia Drainage Area—Notice of Intention to Make and Levy General Rates

PURSUANT to the Swamp Drainage Act 1915 and its amendments, notice is hereby given that it is intended to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the Kaitaia Town District Subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area constituted under the said Act, the general rate described in the First Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land in the Subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area outside the Kaitaia Town District, the general rates described in the Second Schedule hereto, to meet maintenance costs for the period 1 April 1959 to 31 March 1960.

The amount of the general rates, together with the amount of the annually recurring special rates already made and levied, will be payable in one sum on 31 August 1959.

The valuation roll of the area will be open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Lands and Survey Department, Kaitaia, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

ON the unimproved value of all lands within the Kaitaia Town District, forty-two one-hundredths of a penny (0·42d.) in the pound.

SECOND SCHEDULE

RURAL SUBDIVISION

CLASS A—On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act 1928, fifty pence and sixty-two one-hundredths of a penny (50·62d.) in the pound.

Class B—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class B, seventeen pence and seventy-two one-hundredths of a penny (17·72d.) in the pound.

Class C—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, seven pence and fifty-nine one-hundredths of a penny (7·59d.) in the pound.

Hauraki Plains Drainage District—Notice of Intention to Make and Levy General Rates

PURSUANT to the Hauraki Plains Act 1926, notice is hereby given that it is intended to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the district constituted under the said Act, the general rates to meet maintenance costs for the period 1 April 1959 to 31 March 1960, as described in the Schedule hereto.

The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on 31 August 1959.

The valuation roll of the district is open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the Land Drainage Office of the Ministry of Works at Paeroa, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land, Subject to a Drainage Easement

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948, as from the 13th day of July 1959, subject to K. 67729, Auckland Land Registry, certifying the existence of a line of pipes for storm water.
