Under section 34 (b) of the Local Authorities Loans Act
5956 a poll of the ratepayers is required if not less than 5
per cent of the ratepayers whose names are inscribed on the
ratepayers roll of the district, by writing under their hands
delivered or sent by post to the Board and received at the
Board's offices, Cathedral Square, not later than the day
before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution to
raise the special loan, demand that a poll be taken on the
proposal.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
AN ACT TO AMEND THE TRUSTEES, EXECUTORS, AND AGENCY
Co. ACT 1882
NOTICE is hereby given that the Trustees, Executors, and
Agency Co. of New Zealand Ltd. intends to apply for leave
to bring into the House of Representatives, at the present
session, a Private Bill the short title of which is the Trustees,
Executors, and Agency Co. Amendment Act 1959.
The object of the proposed Bill is to amend section 14 of
the Trustees, Executors, and Agency Company Act 1882 to
provide that, in the event of the company altering the nominal
value of the shares constituting its share capital, the liability
of members of the company to contribute on a winding up
of the company shall be correspondingly altered.
The Bill is promoted by the Trustees, Executors, and
Agency Co. of New Zealand Ltd., whose address for service
is at the offices of Messrs J. S. Sinclair, Gibson, and Turnbull,
Solicitors, Queens Buildings, Princes Street, Dunedin.
A copy of the proposed Bill may be inspected at the above
address.

Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per
calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the
day preceding publication.
Single copies of the Gazette as follows:
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every
subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for
the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of
general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing),
subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
35s. per volume (Volumes for years 1936-37 and
1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating
the purchase of extra copies.
Orders should be placed with the Government Printer,
Publications Branch, Wellington C. 1. Separate copies of
regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and
Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or
from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
