PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the
Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of
the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Exempting Lease in the North Auckland Land District from
the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

COBHAM, Governor-General

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the
Governor-General hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

THE lease described in the Schedule hereto is hereby exempted
from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.

SCHEDULE

LEASE No. 16697, registered in the Land Registry Office at
Auckland, of the mines, beds, and seams of coal and other
minerals beneath the surface of that parcel of land containing
112 acres 3 roods 5 perches, more or less, being part of
Allotment 50 of the Parish of Whangarei, and being part of
the land comprised and described in certificates of title,
Volume 112, folio 5, and Volume 604, folio 224 (Auckland
Land Registry).

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 24th day of June 1959.

Lieutenant, with effect from 20 May 1959.

Wallace Hector James McDonald is granted a commission
in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Pilot Officer, with
seniority and with effect from 5 June 1959.

Extensions of Commissions

The under-mentioned officers are granted extensions of their
present commissions with effect from the dates shown:
