Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric
Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
LICENCE

  1. This order may be cited as the Bay of Plenty Electric
    Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1959.
  2. Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the Bay
    of Plenty Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as
    the licensee) is hereby authorised to lay, construct, put up,
    place, and use the electric lines, and to construct the electric
    works described in the First Schedule hereto.
  3. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by
    the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical
    Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and
    shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may
    be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.
  4. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by
    the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the
    Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference
    Regulations 1958, and with all regulations made in amend-
    ment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they
    may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence. Provided
    that the licensee shall not by virtue of this clause be required,
    except in the normal course of alteration, repair, or main-
    tenance, to reconstruct in conformity with the regulations
    hereinbefore mentioned, any existing electric line or work
    which conformed to the regulations in force at the time of
    the construction thereof, and has not become a hazardous
    line as described in the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
  5. The systems of supply shall be as described in para-
    graphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), and (h) of regulation
    21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
  6. This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined,
    continue in force until the 31st day of July 1969.
  7. The Orders in Council specified in the Second Schedule
    hereto authorising the licensee to erect and use electric lines
    are hereby revoked.
    FIRST SCHEDULE
    ELECTRIC LINES AND WORKS
    (1) Lines and works for the transmission and supply of
    electrical energy within the Bay of Plenty Electric Power
    District as defined in the Fourth Schedule to the Proclamation
    altering the boundaries of the said district dated the 14th day
    of March 1959, and published in the Gazette on the 19th
    day of the same month at page 342.
    (2) Lines and works for the transmission and supply of
    electrical energy within the outer area of the Bay of Plenty
    Electric Power District.

    Revoking a Licence Authorising Alexander James Champion,
    of Pori, Pahiatua, Farmer, to Use Water for the Purpose
    of Generating Electricity

    At the Government House at Wellington this 24th day of
    June 1959
    Present:
    HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
    PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
    Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
    of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the
    licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the
    15th day of September 1954, and published in the Gazette
    on the 16th day of the same month at page 1451, authorising
    Alexander James Champion, of Pori, Pahiatua, farmer, to
    use water for the purpose of generating electricity.

    The Hanmer Rural Fire District Order 1948, Amendment
    No. 1

    At the Government House at Wellington this 24th day of
    June 1959
    Present:
    HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
    PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His
    Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
    advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
    the following order.
    ORDER
  8. This order may be cited as the Hanmer Rural Fire Dis-
    trict Order 1948, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read
    together with and deemed part of the Hanmer Rural Fire
    District Order 1948 (hereinafter referred to as the principal
    order).
  9. The principal order may hereinafter be cited as the
    Hanmer Rural Fire District Order 1948.
  10. The principal order is hereby amended by omitting the
    Schedule thereto and substituting the Schedule set out in the
    Schedule to this order.
    SCHEDULE

    "CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT-CANTERBURY CONSERVANCY
    "Hanmer Rural Fire District
    "ALL that area in Amuri County, containing 24,000 acres,
    situated in Blocks XIII, XIV, and XV, Percival Survey Dis-
    trict, and Blocks I, II, III, VI, and VII, Lyndon Survey
    District, and bounded generally as follows: towards the north
    by a right line from Trig. Station 'O' in Block XIV, Percival
    Survey District, to Trig. Station 'MP' in Block XV, Percival
    Survey District; towards the north-east by a right line from
    Trig. Station 'MP' aforesaid to a point on the left bank of
    the Hanmer River, in line with the north-eastern corner of
    Rural Section 37672; towards the south-east by the left bank
    of the Hanmer River to a point in line with the north-
    eastern boundary of Section 77, of Square 83, Block VI,
    Lyndon Survey District; towards the west generally by a right
    line to the south-eastern corner of Section 77 of Square 83
    aforesaid; thence by Section 77 aforesaid and Section 63, and
    part Section 50, of Square 82, Blocks II and VI, Lyndon
    Survey District; towards the south by part Section 50 and
    Section 49, of Square 82, Block II aforesaid; towards the west
    by part of Section 30 of Square 82, Block I, Lyndon Survey
    District; towards the north-west generally by the Christchurch-
    Hanmer road and by the Hanmer Township; towards the
    south generally by the Hanmer Township; towards the west
    by the western side of a public road; towards the south-east
    by the north-western boundary of the Hanmer Town Area;
    towards the south-west by the south-western side of Jacks
    Pass Road to the north-western corner of Section 45, Block I,
    Lyndon Survey District; towards the south generally by a
    right line running due west to the right bank of the Rodgerson
    River and by that river bank to a point opposite the western
    boundary of permanent State forest-Gazette, 1951, page
    1857; and towards the west and north generally by the western
    and northern boundaries of the permanent State forest afore-
    said. As shown on plan No. 129/53 deposited in the Head
    Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and
    thereon bordered red."

    Revoking a Licence Authorising Denis Bernard Langer, of
    Matawai, Sheep Farmer, to Use Water for the Purpose of
    Generating Electricity

    ORDER IN COUNCIL
    At the Government House at Wellington this 24th day of
    June 1959
    Present:
    HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
    PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
    Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
    of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the
    icensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the
    21st day of June 1944, and published in the Gazette on the
    29th day of the same month at page 830, authorising
    Andrew Picken, of Matawai, sheep farmer, to use water for
    the purpose of generating electricity, the rights, powers,
    and privileges under the said Order in Council having been
    assigned by the said Andrew Picken to Denis Bernard
    Langer, of Matawai, sheep farmer.
