PURSUANT to section 85 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Otago and Southland Engineers, Motor Mechanics, Aircraft and Related Trades Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers, Registered No. 2120, situated at Dunedin, is hereby cancelled as from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.

Board of Trade Notice No. 125—Inquiry Into “Excess” Import Licensing Policy
THE Board of Trade is undertaking forthwith an inquiry into all aspects of the present policy of charging “excess” import licences against current and future licensing entitlement.
The Board invites any organisations or persons interested to send to the undersigned a statement in writing of their views, supported by facts relating to particular cases, including information as to the dates orders were placed and accepted overseas for goods the subject of “excess” licences, the amounts ordered, and the value of imports of similar goods by the importer during each of the years 1955, 1956, and 1957.
Information as to orders and imports by particular importers will be regarded by the Board as confidential.
The statement, and four copies thereof, should reach the undersigned not later than 15 July 1959.
