PURSUANT to section 7 of the Maori Purposes Act 1948, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes
the Orders in Council dated 1 August 1951 and 1 September
1954 and published in the Gazette, 9 August 1951, Volume
II, page 1155, and 9 September 1954, Volume III, page 1423,
respectively, conferring the powers of a Tribal Executive
upon the Rauhotu and Te Potaka Tribal Committees.

PURSUANT to section 7 of the Maori Purposes Act 1948, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby confers
upon the Waitara Tribal Committee all the powers conferred
upon a tribal executive by the Maori Social and Economic
Advancement Act 1945, including the power to make by-laws,
notwithstanding the provisions of section 19 or section 20
of that Act.
