Notice of Intention to Destroy Public Records

PURSUANT to section 17 of the Archives Act 1957, notice is hereby given of intention to destroy the following public records:

Air Department—Construction Works on RNZAF Stations

These comprise files dealing with the construction and maintenance of buildings for the accommodation of staff and services on RNZAF stations during the 1939–45 War.

Any person may, within one month after the date of publication of this notice, lodge with the Acting Secretary for Internal Affairs, Wellington, an objection to the destruction of the records specified above, stating therein the grounds of his objection. Such objections will be dealt with in accordance with section 18 of the Archives Act 1957.

Notice of Intention to Destroy Public Records

Army Department—Registered Files 1880–1910

These comprise a selection from the registered files of the Department accumulated between 1880 and 1910. The files to be destroyed deal with routine and ephemeral matters such as requisitions for stationery, minor equipment and supplies, applications for leave, transfer or resignation by junior members of the Armed Forces or the Department, the construction and maintenance of minor defence works and buildings, and petty accounting matters.

Any person may, within one month after the date of publication of this notice, lodge with the Acting Secretary for Internal Affairs, Wellington, an objection to the destruction of the records specified above, stating therein the grounds of his objection. Such objections will be dealt with in accordance with section 18 of the Archives Act 1957.

Amendment of Standard Specifications

PURSUANT to the Standards Act 1941 and the regulations made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 21 May 1959, amended the under-mentioned standard specifications by the incorporation of the amendments shown hereunder:
