Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land and Revoking Previous Notice as to Parts

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby revokes the notice dated the 23rd day of October 1958 and published in Gazette, 30 October 1958, Volume III, page 1466, declaring land acquired for a Government work and not required for that purpose to be Crown land as to the land first and secondly described in the Schedule to the said notice, and hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be deemed to have been Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948 as from the 3rd day of November 1958.

Extending a 30 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit

—

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. So much of the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 24th day of November 1937,* as relates to the Pukeuri-Kurow-Omarama Main Highway No. 122 at Kurow in Waitaki County is hereby revoked.

2. The road specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

Extending a Limited Speed Zone

—

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

1. So much of the Warrant under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956†, dated the 3rd day of April 1958,* as relates to part of the Christchurch-Akaroa State Highway at Halswell in Halswell County is hereby revoked.

2. The portion of road specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.

The Christchurch-Akaroa State Highway No. 74 (from a point 11 chains south-west of its junction with Glover Road to the junction of Dunbars Road with the said State Highway).
