Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 11th day of May 1959.

ALL that piece of land containing 30·7 perches, situated in Block IX, Rangitoto Survey District, City of Auckland, Auckland R.D., and being Lot 334, D.P. 43736. Part certificate of title, Volume 1535, folio 66, Auckland Land Registry.

The Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957, Amendment No. 16

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Minister of Industries and Commerce hereby gives the following notice:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957, Amendment No. 16, and shall be read together with and deemed to be part of the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

  2. This notice shall come into force on the 8th day of May 1959.

  3. The principal notice shall cease to apply in respect of the services set out in the Schedule hereto.

  4. The principal notice is hereby consequentially amended by omitting from the Schedule thereto all references to the services referred to in the Schedule hereto in respect of which, pursuant to clause 3 hereof, the principal notice no longer applies.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Revocation of Approval to Issue Warrants of Fitness

PURSUANT to subclause (3) of regulation 52 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes the approval of the firm described in the Schedule hereto to issue warrants of fitness for motor vehicles.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicle in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1956

PURSUANT to clause (2) of regulation 41, and regulation 63 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Minister of Transport hereby approves for the purposes of the said regulations red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

TAIL lamp assemblies incorporating reflex red reflectors marked “FRST-59 Fomoco (R)” fitted as standard equipment to 1959 model Canadian Ford passenger vehicles.

Limited Speed Zone Declared

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the roads and portion of road specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

SITUATED within Hawke’s Bay County at Te Awanga—
Wellwood Terrace, Leyland Street, Pipi Street, Kuku Street. The Mangateretere - Te Awanga Main Highway No. 419 (from a point 12 chains north-west of its junction with Wellwood Terrace to its junction with Kuku Street).
