Amending Notice Relating to the Open Season for Game in Certain Acclimatisation Districts
—
PURSUANT to the Wildlife Act 1953, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby amends the notice published in Gazette, No. 21, 9 April 1959, page 450, by adding to that part of the notice which relates to Wellington Acclimatisation District the following closed game area.

CLOSED GAME AREA
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western shore of Palliser Bay and being also a point in the mouth of Corner Creek; thence north-westerly to Mount Matthews; thence north-easterly generally along the summit of the Rimutaka Range, across the Wellington-Masterton State Highway at its summit and along the summit of the Tararua Range to Mount Ruapai; thence easterly by a line approximately 95 degrees east to the junction of Falkner Road and the Woodville-Masterton State Highway at Kaiparoro; thence north-easterly by a line west of the Woodville-Masterton State Highway to the junction of No. 1 South Road and the Woodville-Masterton State Highway; thence north-easterly by a line west of the Woodville-Masterton State Highway to the junction of Mangaoranga Road and the Woodville-Masterton State Highway; thence easterly by a line south of the Ekatahuna-Alfredton Main Highway to the junction of the Mangaone Valley Main Highway and the Ekatahuna-Alfredton Main Highway; thence easterly by a line north of the Ekatahuna-Alfredton Main Highway to a point on the Masterton-Weber via Alfredton Main Highway approximately a half mile north of the Township of Alfredton; thence easterly by a line approximately 105 degrees east to the Pukeamuku Trigonometrical Station; thence south-easterly by a line to a point in the mouth of the Mataikona River; thence south-westerly generally along the sea coast and the shore of Palliser Bay to a point in the mouth of Corner Creek, being the point of commencement.

Amending Notice Relating to the Open Season for Game in Certain Acclimatisation Districts

PURSUANT to the Wildlife Act 1953, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby amends the notice published in Gazette, No. 21, 9 April 1959, page 450, as follows:

By deleting in that part of the notice which relates to the Ashburton Acclimatisation District under the heading of “Daily Bag Limits” the words “Mallard 10” and “Grey, shoveler (or spoonbill), and mallard duck, 10 in all” and substituting the words “Mallard, 15” and “Grey, shoveler (or spoonbill), and mallard duck, 15 in all” respectively.

By deleting in that part of the notice which relates to the North Canterbury Acclimatisation District under the heading of “Daily Bag Limits” the words “Mallard, 10” and substituting the words “Mallard, 15”.

By deleting in that part of the notice that relates to the Whangarei Acclimatisation District under the heading “Shooting Hours” the words “6.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.” and substituting the words “6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.”

By adding to that part of the notice which relates to the Auckland Acclimatisation District the following closed game area:
“88. Part Section 112, Block IX, Aroha Survey District, certificate of title 812/61, containing 21 acres and 8 perches. Present occupier: D. Johnson.”
