RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Rural Housing Loan No. 6. 1958, £10,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Counties Act, and all other Acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, repayment of principal and other charges on the Rural Housing Loan No. 6 1958, £10,000, authorised to be raised by the Stratford County Council, the said County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¹/₁₂ pence in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Stratford; and the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PAHIATUA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Housing Loan 1958, £4,500
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Pahiatua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £4,500 authorised to be raised by the Pahiatua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a section and building a house, the said Pahiatua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal three pence (.3d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Pahiatua; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Pahiatua Borough Council held on the 14th day of April 1959.

WESTLAND COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
—
In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Westland County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a public work, namely, a public road; and notice is hereby given that a plan showing the lands proposed to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the above Council, situate in Hamilton Street, Hokitika, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land who have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the address aforesaid.
SCHEDULE
(1) 1 acre 2 roods 35·1 perches, more or less, being parts of Reserve 146, Block XI, Mahinapua Survey District, whereof Butler Bros. Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Auckland, is registered proprietor, as the said pieces of land are shown on Survey Office Plan No. 4831, and thereon coloured orange.
(2) 2 acres 3 roods 7·1 perches, more or less, being part Section 1502, Block XI, Mahinapua Survey District, whereof George Miller, of Ross, coach-driver, is registered proprietor, as the said piece of land is shown on Survey Office Plan No. 4831, and thereon coloured blue.
(3) 1 rood 2 perches, more or less, of Crown land situate in Block XI, Mahinapua Survey District, as the same are shown on Survey Office Plan No. 4831, and thereon coloured sepia.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
—
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Christchurch City Council made on the 27th day of January 1958 and amended by further resolutions on 10 March and 28 April 1958, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the City of Christchurch, Section 1 (zoning). The scheme has been deposited in the offices of the Christchurch City Council, 194 Manchester Street, Christchurch, corner Hawke Street and Shaw Avenue, New Brighton, 18 Wakefield Avenue, Sumner; also in the Canterbury Public Library and each of the suburban libraries, namely, Addington, Beckenham, Burwood, Linwood, Mount Pleasant, New Brighton, Opawa, Papanui, Redcliffs, St. Albans, St. Martins, Spreydon, Sumner, Sydenham, Waltham, and Woolston, and is there open for inspection without fee to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.
Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 23rd day of July 1959.
At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the undersigned in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.
