Official Notices and Declarations

536 THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE No. 23

From the 23rd to the 25th a depression passed far to the south
and the associated trough of low pressure moved over most of the
country. There was some further rain on the West Coast, and later
some light falls were recorded in eastern districts as far north as
Gisborne. The trough became stationary in the far north, where
rain fell intermittently for the next three days as it slowly lost
intensity. Another trough which passed over on the 29th and 30th
brought a southerly change, with cooler temperatures and some
rain in most districts. However, on the last day of the month the
weather was generally fair or fine under the influence of a large
anticyclone.

R. G. SIMMERS, Acting Director.
