Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Wanganui Appointed

Pursuant to the Waterfront Industry Act 1953, the Minister of Labour hereby appoints the following persons to be the Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Wanganui for a term of one year expiring on the 28th day of February 1960.

Ernest James Blair, Jack Francis Millward, and William Lyall Russell (Nominated by the New Zealand Port Employers’ Association Incorporated); and
Thomas Roy Anthony, William George Upton, and Alan David Shearer (Nominated by the Wanganui Waterside Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers).

Appointment of Honorary Officers

Pursuant to section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1946, the Minister of Marine hereby appoints the persons named in the Schedule to this Warrant to be Honorary Officers for the acclimatisation district shown in such Schedule for the purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act 1908, such persons to hold office until the 31st day of March 1962.

Licensing Marine Enterprises Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Bed of the Lake at Queenstown Bay, Lake Wakatipu, as a Site for a Jetty

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Marine Enterprises Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the bed of the lake at Queenstown Bay, Lake Wakatipu, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10546 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable ten pounds (£10).
  3. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of April 1959.

Declaring Stopped Government Road to be Crown Land

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the stopped Government road described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 13th day of April 1959.
