NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP RESOLUTION

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Frost Road Motors (Mount Roskill) Ltd.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the members of the above-named company has been summoned for the purpose of passing a resolution for voluntary winding up, and that a meeting of the creditors of the above-named company will be held, pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act 1955, at the Council Rooms, Chamber of Commerce Building, Courthouse Lane, Auckland C.1, on Monday, the 6th day of April 1959, at 2.15 p.m.

Business:
(1) Consideration of a statement of the position of the company’s affairs and list of creditors.
(2) Nomination of liquidator.
(3) Appointment of committee of inspection if thought fit.

NOTICE is hereby given that, on the 25th day of March 1959, a special resolution was passed by the Papakura Clothing Co. Ltd., by entry in its minute book, pursuant to section 362 of the Companies Act 1955, that a declaration of solvency having been duly made and delivered, the company be wound up voluntarily and that John Peter Bissett, of Auckland, public accountant, be appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding up.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Mount Maunganui Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for housing purposes the parcels of land in the Borough of Mount Maunganui described in the Schedule hereto.

All persons affected by the taking of the land and having well grounded objections thereto are hereby called upon to set forth their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, i.e., on or before the 30th day of April 1959, to the office of the Mount Maunganui Borough Council.

HOWICK BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER

Resolved:
“That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies Act 1926, the Howick Borough Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a roading loan of £36,800 authorised to be raised by the Howick Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing and sealing streets and installing stormwater drains, the said Howick Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point six nought nine pence in the pound (·609d.) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the rating district comprising the whole of the Borough of Howick; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

BOROUGH OF BIRKENHEAD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Birkenhead Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £2,600, known as the Water Reticulation Improvements Supplementary Loan 1958, authorised to be raised by the Birkenhead Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of water reticulation improvements, the said Birkenhead Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fourteenth of one penny (1/14d.) in the pound upon the rateable value, based on the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the Borough of Birkenhead and comprising the whole of the said borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Birkenhead Borough Council held on the 11th day of March 1959.

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Richmond Loan 1955 of £101,000—£21,000 Portion

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £21,000 (twenty-one thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing the Maraenui Block, the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one (·1) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 31st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
