Appointment, Promotions, Extensions, and Termination

Pursuant to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force
Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been
pleased to approve the following appointment, promotions,
extensions, and termination of commissions, and retirement
of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.
REGULAR AIR FORCE
GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH
Retirement
Squadron Leader Keith Bishop Smith, A.F.C. (70126) is
retired, with effect from 9 June 1959.
TECHNICAL BRANCH
Amendment
The notice published in Gazette, 19 February 1959, No. 8,
page 171, relating to Wing Commander Geoffrey Cyril Ellis
is hereby amended to read "with effect from 13 March
1959" instead of "with effect from 15 March 1959".
WOMEN'S ROYAL NEW ZEALAND AIR FORCE
TERRITORIAL SECTION
Termination of Commission
The commission of Assistant Section Officer Marie Alison
Wornall (134067), is terminated, with effect from 10 March
1959.
AIR TRAINING CORPS
Appointment
Clifford William Dixon is granted a commission in the Air
Training Corps in the rank of Pilot Officer, with seniority and
with effect from 20 February 1959.
RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS
Promotions
Flight Lieutenant Alan Edward Law Britton, B.SC. (74146),
to be temporary Squadron Leader while commanding Linwood
High School Air Training Corps Unit, with effect from 7
March 1959.
Flying Officer Derek Mason (132669) to be temporary
Flight Lieutenant, with effect from 20 February 1959.

Appointment of Members of Te Houka Public Hall Board
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby appoints
Richard Ronald Botting
to be a member of the Te Houka Public Hall Board, Otago
Land District, in place of Eric John Bisset, left the district,
and further, increases the total number of members of the
said Public Hall Board from eight to nine, and appoints
Neville Owen Moffat
as the additional member of the Board.

of Lands hereby appoints
The two members of the Ashburton County Council representing the Rakaia Riding, ex officio,

Appointment of the Rodney County Council to Control and Manage a Reserve
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby appoints the
