Notification of Vacancy of Seat in the House of Representatives for the Electoral District of Hamilton

IN compliance with the provisions of section 72 of the Electoral Act 1956, I, Robert Mafeking Macfarlane, Speaker of the House of Representatives of New Zealand, hereby notify that Grace Hilda Ross, a member of the House of Representatives for the Electoral District of Hamilton, died on the 6th day of March 1959, during a recess of the House, and that the said seat in the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District is vacant by reason of such death.

Licensing G. O. Prescott Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore in the Otaika River as a Site for a Loading Bay

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits G. O. Prescott Ltd., of Whangarei, (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark in the Otaika River, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10473 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a loading bay as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of February 1959.

3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable ten pounds (£10).

4. The master of every vessel discharging ballast at the said wharf shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above high-water mark, or at such place as may be approved by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.
