OTAGO CENTRAL ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Extensions Loan 1957, £20,000
THE Otago Central Electric Power Board, at a meeting of the Board held on the 24th day of February 1959, resolved as follows:
“That the resolution passed on the 29th day of October 1957, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and gazetted in the Gazette, No. 85, of 11 November 1957, making a special rate of one-twentieth (1/20) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Otago Central Electric Power District be amended by adding the following words, ‘and shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 30th day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off’.”

MANGAWEKA TOWN COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Mangaweka Town Council, at its meeting held on the 16th day of December 1958, has resolved to prepare for the Mangaweka Town Council a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “Mangaweka District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town Clerk’s office on or before the 18th day of May 1959.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waimate Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 17th day of February 1959, has resolved to prepare for the Waimate Borough a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “Waimate Borough District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town Clerk’s office on or before the 30th day of April 1959.

THE CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT 1957
WHEREAS the late Sophia Frances Cherrington-Hunter, formerly of Akaroa, retired beauty specialist, who died at Christchurch on the 16th day of March 1957, by her will, probate whereof was granted on the 25th day of March 1957, devised and bequeathed to the Roman Catholic Bishop for the time being for the Diocese of Christchurch (hereinafter called “the Bishop”) her property at Jolie Street, Akaroa, and the furniture and contents therein to be used as a convalescent home for the priests of the Christchurch Diocese.
And whereas the Bishop has made application under the above Act to the Supreme Court at Christchurch for approval of a scheme varying the mode of administering the aforesaid trusts by providing that the Bishop may sell the said real and personal property and shall hold the said real and personal property and the proceeds of sale upon trust to pay or apply the whole or any part or parts thereof and the income arising therefrom in such manner as the Bishop shall think fit for any members of the diocesan clergy of the Diocese of Christchurch who are exercising diocesan faculties or who have retired and who, owing to age, illness, or infirmity, are in the opinion of the Bishop in need of assistance; take notice that the aforesaid application will be heard in the Supreme Courthouse at Christchurch on Wednesday, the 15th day of April 1959, at 10 a.m.
And further take notice that any person desiring to oppose the said scheme shall give written notice of his or her intention to do so to the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Christchurch and to the Bishop and to the Attorney-General not less than seven clear days before the said day for the hearing of the application.
A copy of the said scheme has been filed in and may be inspected at the Christchurch office of the Supreme Court.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.
Single copies of the Gazette as follows:
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand. The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.
Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
