Land in Westland Land District Forfeited

PURSUANT to section 146 of the Land Act 1948, notice is hereby given that the Land Settlement Board, with the approval of the Minister of Lands, has by resolution declared the under-mentioned lease to be forfeited and that the land has thereby reverted to the Crown.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the County of Pahiatua

(Notice No. Ag. 6451)

PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Pahiatua County Council on the 11th day of December 1957.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT, in pursuance of the powers of section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and section 87 of the Counties Act 1956, the Pahiatua County Council resolves by way of special order that the respective plants known as Barberry (Berberis vulgaris), Barberry (Berberis darwinii), and Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha and Crataegus monogyna) mentioned or included in the First Schedule of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and as extended by the Noxious Weeds Extension Order 1953 (Serial No. 1953/68), be declared noxious weeds in the whole of the County of Pahiatua.

And it is further resolved that the said special order shall come into force on the 1st day of February 1958.
