Unclaimed Property—Notice of Election by the Public Trustee to Become Manager Under the Public Trust Office Act 1957, Part V
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has, for the purposes of Part V of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, made due inquiry in respect of the shares described in the Schedule hereto and after such inquiry does not know where the owner of the said shares is or whether he is alive or dead; and whereas the gross value of the said shares (as estimated by the Public Trustee) does not exceed £2,000 and for the purposes of subsection (2) of section 80 of the said Act the Public Trustee is satisfied that it is advisable that he should become the manager of the said shares; now, therefore, the Public Trustee, in exercise of the authority conferred upon him by the said subsection (2), hereby elects to be manager of the said shares under Part V of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
TEN ordinary shares in Taniwha Products Ltd. numbered 21571 to 21580 inclusive, together with accrued dividend. According to the share register of the company these shares are held by William McKee. Taniwha Products Ltd. was previously known as Union Oil Soap and Candle Co. Ltd.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in County of Akitio

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Acting Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Akitio County Council on the 10th day of November 1958.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Council hereby resolves by way of special order that
Bathurst burr (Xanthium spinosum),
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius),
Montpelier broom (Cytisus monspessulanus),
Gorse, (Ulex, any species),
Milk thistle or Variegated thistle (Silybum marianum),
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea),
Star thistle (Centaurea calcitrapa),
Sweetbriar (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa),
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare),
Cape tulip (Homeria collina), and
Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes),
being plants mentioned in the First Schedule of the Act, be declared noxious weeds within the County of Akitio.

(Notice No. Ag. 6648)
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Acting Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Putaruru County Council on the 11th day of November 1958.
SPECIAL ORDER
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Putaruru Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order that the following plants shall be, and the same are hereby declared to be, noxious weeds in the Borough of Putaruru:
Pussy willow (Salix discolor).
Nodding thistle (Carduus nutans).
Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes).
Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla).
Scentless chamomile (Matricaria inodora).

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Waikato Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 3 April 1940 and published in the Gazette, 4 April 1940, Volume I, page 656.

Classification of Roads in Manurewa Borough
PURSUANT to regulation 3 (7) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes that Warrant dated the 5th day of July 1951† which classified streets in Manurewa Borough and hereby alters Manurewa Borough Council’s proposed classification of streets described in the Schedule hereto and approves such altered classification as set out in the said Schedule.
