Declaring Lands in Gisborne and Canterbury Land Districts Vested in the Hawke’s Bay and Canterbury Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Hawke’s Bay Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being area vested in the Canterbury Education Board, as sites for public schools shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.


FIRST SCHEDULE

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT

Part 1 of Section 2, Block XVIII, Waiau Survey District: Area, 1 acre, more or less. (S.O. Plan 3310.)

Also Lot 1, D.P. 3036, being part Mangatu No. 1 Block, situated in Block VII, Mangatu Survey District: Area, 4 acres 2 roods 31 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 79, folio 242.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

Part Rural Section 26959, situated in Block VIII, Alford Survey District: Area, 1 acre 1 rood 26·4 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 147, folio 109. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/12261 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. Plan 9419.)

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act 1948

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being provisional State forest reserve set apart by Proclamation dated the 28th day of October 1952, and published in Gazette, 6 November 1952, Volume III, page 1805, is required for settlement purposes; and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land and shall become Crown land available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.


SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT

Part Section 5, Block X, Mapara Survey District: Area, 189 acres, more or less. As shown on the plan marked 10/94/21A deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. Plan 8898.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 26th day of November 1958.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 8th day of December 1958.
