WANGANUI COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Housing Loan 1957, £15,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Counties Act 1956, the Wanganui County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Wanganui County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the erection of five workers’ dwellings, the said Wanganui County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point nought seven four nought one six of a penny (·074016d.) in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all the rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Wanganui; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 4th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off. Such special rate is in substitution of the previous special rate of decimal point nought three nought eight four (·03084d.) published in the Gazette on 14 November 1957, No. 86, at page 2166.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of an ordinary meeting of the Wanganui County Council held on Friday the 10th day of October 1958.

BOROUGH OF KAWERAU
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Municipal Buildings Loan £115,000, 1956
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kawerau Town Commissioner hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and fifteen thousand pounds (£115,000), authorised to be raised by the Kawerau Town Commissioner under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting thereon Town Hall and municipal offices and altering an existing building to serve as supper room, recreation hall, library, plunket rooms, and rest rooms, the said Kawerau Town Commissioner hereby makes a special rate of decimal three two five of a penny (·325d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Kawerau, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid of.”

MOSGIEL BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mosgiel Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Mosgiel Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing water filtering equipment at the Taieri swimming baths, the said Mosgiel Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Mosgiel comprising the whole of the Borough of Mosgiel, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on 1 April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Mosgiel Borough Council held on the 6th day of October 1958.

BOROUGH OF NEWMARKET
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Newmarket Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Newmarket Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a parking building in Davis Crescent and the establishment of a new depot in Laxton Terrace, the Newmarket Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one decimal one five (1·15d.) pence in the pound on the annual rateable value of all the rateable property in the Borough of Newmarket; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HUNTLY BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Sewerage and Waterworks Improvement Loan 1954, £71,000
Issue of £25,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Huntly Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) authorised to be raised by the Huntly Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the sewerage system for the whole of the Borough of Huntly and improving and extending the waterworks, the said Huntly Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one decimal nought eight pence (1·08d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Huntly; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan has been fully paid off.”
