PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the area specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

All roads on Herald Island. The causeway leading to Herald Island. Kingsway Road (from Kauri Road to the western end of the causeway leading to Herald Island).

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Tauranga Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that, on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 30 June 1937 and published in the Gazette, 8 July 1937, Volume II, page 1624.

Unclaimed Property—Notice of Election by the Public Trustee to Become Manager Under the Public Trust Office Act 1957, Part V
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has, for the purposes of Part V of the Public Trust Office Act 1957, made due inquiry in respect of the land described in the Schedule hereto and after such inquiry does not know where the owner of the said land is or whether he is alive or dead; and whereas the gross value of the said land (as estimated by the Public Trustee) does not exceed £2,000 and, for the purposes of subsection (2) of section 80 of the said Act, the Public Trustee is satisfied that it is advisable that he should become the manager of the said land:
Now, therefore, the Public Trustee, in exercise of the authority conferred upon him by the said subsection (2) hereby elects to be manager of the said land under Part V of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land situate at Woodbury, Geraldine, containing 9 acres, more or less, being Section 22153 on the map of the Chief Surveyor of the Provincial District of Canterbury setting out and describing rural land in the Timaru district; which said piece of land is bounded commencing at the north-west corner of Section No. 21000 on the east side of the Geraldine and Rangitata Bridge Road; thence north along that road 332 links; thence north-east along the Orari Bridge Road 1019 links; thence south-east along the road forming the south-west boundary of Section No. 21226 1407 links; and from thence returning west along Section No. 21000 1413 links to the commencing point; and is the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 26, folio 51, Canterbury Registry, of which land the registered proprietor is William Fraser Mackintosh, of Waihi Bush, horse dealer.
