PAHIATUA COUNTY COUNCIL
PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Pahiatua County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the providing of land for the purpose of a road relocation of the No. 834 Pahiatua-Akitio via Pongaroa Main Highway; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk to the said Council, situate in Main Street, in the Borough of Pahiatua, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objection in writing, and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Pahiatua Council Chambers, Main Street, Pahiatua.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waitomo County Council, at its meeting held on the 8th day of August 1958, has resolved to prepare for the Waitomo County a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals “Waitomo County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the Waitomo County Office on or before the 28th day of November 1958.

CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Sewerage Loan (Treatment Works) No. 1. 1957, £1,050,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one million and fifty thousand pounds (£1,050,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing sewage treatment works at Bromley, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes a special rate of five thirty-seconds of a penny (5/32d.) in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property within that part of the Christchurch Drainage District described in Schedule C, and in Schedule B as altered from time to time in terms of section 5 (f) of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act 1922 and section 60 of the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951 to a resolution of the Board dated the 17th day of April 1923, together with Cashmere Sewerage Area as described in a resolution of the Board dated the 22nd day of May 1952 and as altered from time to time by resolution of the Board under section 59 of the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Christchurch Drainage Board held on the 19th day of August 1958.

WAIRIOA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Loan £10,000, 1957
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Wairoa Electric Power Board held on the 18th day of August 1958, the following resolution was passed:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on a loan of ten thousand pounds authorised to be raised by the Wairoa Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Wairoa Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it enabling; the said Wairoa Electric Power Board hereby make a special rate of point nought two seven nine of a penny (·0279d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Wairoa Electric Power District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Loan £15,000, 1956
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Wairoa Electric Power Board held on the 18th day of August 1958, the following resolution was passed:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charge on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds authorised to be raised by the Wairoa Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Wairoa Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the said Wairoa Electric Power Board hereby make a special rate of point nought six of a penny (·06d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Wairoa Electric Power District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BULLER ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Buller Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Buller Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the construction and equipment of water-driven electric power generating works at Karamea, the said Buller Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one decimal four one of a penny (1·41d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Buller Electric Power District, comprising part of the County of Buller and the whole of the Borough of Westport; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The said special rate is the same rate made by the said Board on the 13th day of March 1951, the 10th day of March 1952, the 9th day of September 1952, the 9th day of March 1953, the 13th day of July 1953, the 12th day of October 1953, the 8th day of February 1954, the 14th day of June 1954, the 21st day of June 1954, the 8th day of November 1954, the 12th day of October 1955, and on the 13th day of August 1958 with respect to a loan of £20,000 and not additional thereto”.
