OTAKI BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Otaki Borough Council Pensioners' Flats Loan No. 2, 1958, £8,000
IN pursuance and exercise of powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otaki Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,000 authorised to be raised by the Otaki Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of erecting four double-unit flats and six single-unit flats for pensioners, the said Otaki Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one five (·15d.) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Otaki; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that a copy of such resolution under seal be forwarded to the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand."
I hereby certify that the following is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Otaki Borough Council at a special meeting of the Council held on 30 July 1958.

WAIPAUA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Water Main Extension Loan 1958 of £1,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Waipawa Borough Council, at a meeting held in Waipawa on the 6th day of August 1958, resolved as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £1,500 authorised to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of extending existing water mains to provide adequate service and firefighting facilities, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the Borough of Waipawa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of six years, or until such loan is fully paid off."
We hereby certify the above to be true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Waipawa Borough Council at a properly constituted meeting held on the 6th day of August 1958.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reserves Development Loan 1958, of £20,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing additional reserves, improving sports grounds, and developing a new cemetery, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·02262d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on Monday, 28 July 1958.

HASTINGS GAS CO. LTD. BILL
In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to Private Bills and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled "An Act to enable the Hastings Gas Co. Ltd. to supply the City of Hastings and the immediately surrounding district with gas."
NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Hastings Gas Co. Ltd. to introduce in the present session of Parliament a Bill intituled "An Act to enable the Hastings Gas Co. Ltd. to supply the City of Hastings and the immediately surrounding district with gas."
The objects which the said Bill is intended to effect are: To authorise the Hastings Gas Co. Ltd. to supply with gas the City of Hastings and the surrounding district lying within a radius of 10 miles from the north-eastern corner of Section No. 220, South Hastings, but not including any land lying to the north of the Ngaruroro River.
This Bill is promoted by the Hastings Gas Co. Ltd., and the company's address for communications and notices is at its registered office, 105 King Street North, Hastings, at which address a copy of the Bill may be inspected.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding publication.
Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance. Single copies of the Gazette as follows:
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand. The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.
Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
GOVERNMENT PUBLICATIONS
The following publications are obtainable from the Government Printer, at Wellington and Christchurch or through the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
Free Postage: All publications sold by the Department are now post free--except that when trade discount is allowed, postage or freight is payable by the purchaser.
