NELSON CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations
1954, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme
under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the City
of Nelson (excluding the part added to the City on 1 April
1958, and formerly in the Waimea County) was approved by
the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the
17th day of July 1958, after all objections, appeals, and
arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of and
the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections
and appeals allowed and all variations of the scheme required
by the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board had been
incorporated.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come
into operation on the 1st day of August 1958.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in
the Council's office and in every public library in the district
and may be inspected without fee by any person who so
requires at any time when those places are open to the public.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wanganui City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to
execute a certain public work, namely, the widening of St.
Hill Street, in the City of Wanganui, and for the purposes
of such public work the lands described in the Schedule
hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further
given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is
deposited at the public office of the Town Clerk to the said
Council situate in St. Hill Street, and is open for inspection
without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All
persons affected by the execution of the said public work or
by the taking of such lands who have any well founded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing
and send the same within forty (40) days from the first
publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council
Chambers, St. Hill Street, Wanganui.

Being portion of part Town Section 345, delineated in the
public map of Wanganui, deposited in the office of the
Chief Surveyor, Wellington, part land in certificate of title,

WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waikato County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works
Act 1928, to take the pieces of land described in the Schedule
hereto for road under the provisions of the Public Works
Act 1928. A plan of the pieces of land proposed to be taken
for road lies open for public inspection at the office of the
Waikato County Council, Grey Street, Hamilton, during
forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this
notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge
their objections in writing at the office of the Council on or
before the 3rd day of September 1958.

POVERTY BAY CATCHMENT BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS

Waipaoa River Flood Control Scheme

NOTICE is hereby given that the Poverty Bay Catchment
Board, acting under the provisions of the Public Works Act
1928 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941,
proposes to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto
for a public work, namely, for river control purposes; notice
is further given that plans of the lands required to be taken
are deposited in the office of the board at Bright Street,
Gisborne, and are open for inspection by all persons during
office hours. All persons affected by the taking of such
lands or by the execution of such public works who have any
well founded ground of objection thereto must state their
objection in writing and deliver the same to the Secretary
of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board at the board's offices
within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Municipal Corporation Act 1954 and
amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of
all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City
Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of two hundred and eighty-eight thousand
pounds (£288,000) to be known as the Victoria Street Parking Building Loan 1958, which amount is proposed to be
raised by the Auckland City Council under the abovementioned Acts for the purpose of erecting a parking building in Victoria Street, the cost of demolition of existing buildings, the cost of underpinning adjoining buildings and other preparatory work, and the cost of raising the loan,
the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of two-thirds of a penny (⅔d.) in the pound
(£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual
value) of all rateable property of Auckland City, comprising
the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and shall be payable on the 1st day of June
in each and every year during the currency of the said
loan or until the loan is fully paid off."

GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Gisborne
City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the
Gisborne City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for
the purpose of constructing a chiller plant, installing pig machine, building alterations, and providing a water supply at the Gisborne Abattoir, the said Gisborne City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and six one-thousandths of a penny (0·106d.) in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property within the City of Gisborne; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of a resolution passed by the Gisborne City Council at a
special meeting held on the 15th day of July 1958.
