INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Invercargill City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the loans shown hereunder, authorised by the ratepayers and by special order to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for carrying out the works enumerated on the respective ballot papers and special orders, the said Council hereby makes and levies the several special rates shown hereunder, each being levied on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that each such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the particular loan in respect of which it is levied, and be payable on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan as shown hereunder or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MARTINBOROUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Martinborough Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £2,600 authorised to be raised by the Martinborough Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying water meters for the water reticulation system, the said Martinborough Council hereby makes a special rate of 17/20d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Martinborough, comprising the whole of the Borough of Martinborough; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 28th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Martinborough was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Martinborough Borough Council in the presence of—

WAIRERE ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Loan 1957, of £15,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wairere Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £15,000 known as the Reticulation Loan 1957, and authorised to be raised by the Wairere Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s district, the said Wairere Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of one penny (⅜d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Wairere Electric-power District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at the meeting of the Wairere Electric-power Board held on Thursday, 26 June 1958.

WHANGAREI HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £593,000 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act and in terms of the Whangarei Harbour Board Vesting and Empowering Act 1950 for harbour-improvement work at Whangarei, the said Whangarei Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of three pence and one farthing (3¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Whangarei Harbour District comprising the Borough of Whangarei, the Town Districts of Kamo and Hikurangi, and the County of Whangarei, excepting out of such county that portion thereof comprised in the Waipu River Board District as defined in Proclamation published in the Gazette on the 1st day of March 1900. That the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

LOWER MANGAPIKO DRAINAGE BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Lower Mangapiko Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Lower Mangapiko Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of effecting improvements to the Mangapiko Stream, the said Lower Mangapiko Drainage Board hereby makes a special rate of 6½d. in the pound on land classed A, 4¾d. in the pound on land classed B, and 3¼d. in the pound on land classed C, upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Lower Mangapiko Drainage District comprised in the Te Rahu subdivision; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Lower Mangapiko Drainage Board held on the 14th day of July 1958.

For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand. The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
