Polar Medal
IN the list of awards of the Polar Medal published in the Gazette, 22 May 1958, No. 31, page 667, for the words “Flight Sergeant Laurence Walter Tarr, RNZAF, of Thames.” read “Sergeant Laurence Walter Tarr, RNZAF, of Thames”.
Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of provisional State forest reserve No. 1712 set apart by proclamation dated the 12th day of December 1921 and published in Gazette 15 December 1921, Volume III, page 2920, is required for settlement purposes; and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land and shall become Crown land available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.
SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT
PART reserve 1712, situated in Blocks VI, VII, and X, Okuru Survey District: Area, 250 acres, more or less. (S.O. Plan 4799.)
As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 10/98/47A deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 11th day of July 1958.

Crown Land Set Apart for a Microwave Radio Repeater Station in Block XI, Cheviot Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a microwave radio repeater station; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 21st day of July 1958.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of Crown land in the Canterbury Land District containing 3 acres 3 roods 15 perches, situated in Block XI, Cheviot Survey District, Canterbury R.D., and being part Section 8; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 156467 (S.O. 9324) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 14th day of July 1958.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for State housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 21st day of July 1958.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of Crown land in the North Auckland Land District containing 1 acre 2 roods 37·4 perches, situated in Block II, Otahuhu Survey District, Borough of Mt. Wellington, Auckland R.D., and being Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, L.T. Plan 45612. Formerly part certificate of title, Volume 731, folio 246, Auckland Land Registry.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 14th day of July 1958.
