Consent to the Establishment and Maintenance of an
Aerodrome by the Timaru City Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 25th day of
June 1958
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 5 of the Local Authorities Empowering
(Aviation Encouragement) Act 1929, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Timaru Aerodrome
    Establishment Order 1958.
  2. Consent is hereby given to the establishment and main-
    tenance by the Timaru City Council of an aerodrome on the
    land described in the Schedule hereto and known as the
    Timaru Airport.

SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land comprising 504 acres 2 roods 26
perches, more or less, being Rural Sections 21496, 21508, and
22150 situated in Block V, Arowhenua Survey District, Canter-
bury Land District.

Defining Limits of the Timaru Harbour Pilotage District

COBHAM, Governor-General
Pursuant to section 211 of the Harbours Act 1950, I,
Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, hereby define the limits of the Timaru Harbour
Pilotage District within which pilots may act for the purposes
of the said Act to be the whole area to seaward of high-water
mark of the land boundary contained within the area of a
circle having a radius of 1 nautic mile and having its centre at
the eastern extension mole light in the Harbour of Timaru,
this light being 7621·21 links north and 3996·96 links east of
Trig. K, North Street in the City of Timaru. The arc of the
circle being shown on the plan marked M.D. 10413 and
deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wel-
lington.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 13th day of June 1958.

Her Majesty the Queen has been graciously pleased to
approve of the appointment of Colonel R. C. S. Dick,
B.A.(CANTAB.), M.B., B.CH.(CANTAB.), M.R.C.P.(LOND.), M.R.A.C.P.,
Royal N.Z. Army Medical Corps, as Honorary Physician to
the Queen, vice Colonel D. A. Ballantyne, M.B., CH.B.(N.Z.),
M.R.C.P.(LOND.), M.R.A.C.P., Royal N.Z. Army Medical Corps,
who has been transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated
20 May 1958.

Her Majesty the Queen has been graciously pleased to approve
of the appointment of Principal Matron C. McDonald, R.R.C.,
as Honorary Nursing Sister to The Queen, vice Matron-in-
Chief D. I. Milne (née Brown), R.R.C., who has been posted
to the Retired List. Dated 14 May 1958.
