Result of Election for Appointment of Members to Dental Council of New Zealand
PURSUANT to the Dental Regulations 1937, I, George William Lenton Hanlon, the Returning Officer for the purposes of those regulations, hereby give the following notice with respect to the elections of persons for appointment to the Dental Council of New Zealand under paragraphs (d) and (e) of section 3 (2) of the Dentists Act 1936.

There being only one person nominated for election by dentists whose registered addresses are in the North Island, I hereby declare the person nominated, namely, Maurice Edward Priestley, to be elected for appointment to the Council.

The result of the poll of the dentists whose registered addresses are in the South Island was as follows:

Plant Declared Noxious Weed in the County of Waikohu
(Notice No. Ag. 6544)
PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Acting Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Waikohu County Council on the 19th day of May 1958.
SPECIAL ORDER
RESOLVED by way of special order pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 that Nodding Thistle (Carduus nutans) being a plant included in the First Schedule to the said Act be declared a noxious weed within the whole of the area from time to time included in the County of Waikohu.
