Exempting Land in the North Auckland Land District from
the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925
COBHAM, Governor-General
Pursuant to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the
Governor-General hereby exempts the land described in the
Schedule hereto from the operation of Part III of the Coal
Mines Act 1925.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
PART Allotment 2, Parish of Whangarei, situated in Block
VIII, Purua Survey District: Area, 11 acres and 20:6 perches,
more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 529, folio 174.
Limited as to parcels and title. (S.O. 40119.)
Also Lot 1, D.P. 35522, being parts Allotments 2 and 144,
Parish of Whangarei, situated in Block VIII, Purua Survey
District: Area, 3 roods 32:1 perches, more or less. All certificate
of title, Volume 928, folio 109, excepting thereout all
veins, beds, and seams of coal, fireclay, and minerals whatsoever
in or upon the said land. Subject to mining rights contained
in transfer No. 427833 and to a water easement contained
in transfer No. 454061. As shown on the plan marked
Mines 11/42. deposited in the Head Office of the Mines
Department at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 30th day of May 1958.

The notice published in the Gazette, Volume III of 1944,
page 1455, under “3rd N.Z. Armoured Regiment”, relating to
temp. Lieutenant-Colonel T. B. Morten, D.S.O., is cancelled,
and the following substituted:
“Temp. Lieutenant-Colonel T. B. Morten, D.S.O., is transferred
to the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List. Dated
8 November 1944.”
