A PENAL POLICY FOR NEW ZEALAND

In this brochure the problem of crime is briefly surveyed
and an outline given of the principles on which the Department
of Justice acts in fulfilling its duty to provide better
protection to society. The substance and the purposes of
proposed changes in the law are also given.

A Penal Policy for New Zealand is commended by the
Minister of Justice to all those—and it should be the concern
of the whole community—who are interested in coping with
what is undoubtedly a serious problem.
