Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road in Block XI and XIV, Waihua Survey District, being Land Required for Improvements to the Gisborne-Napier State Highway, Waihua -Te Kumi Section

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 12th day of May 1958.

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice is hereby given that the plans of the land so required to be taken are deposited in the post office at Wairoa and are there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block VII, Carlyle Survey District, for a Public School

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public school, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Patea and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the execution of the public work or to the taking of the land, set forth the same in writing, and send the writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

All that piece of land in the Taranaki Land District containing approximately 10 acres, situated in Block VII, Carlyle Survey District, Taranaki R.D., being part Section 16, Patea Suburban District (corner of Hawera-Wanganui State Highway and Livingstone Street, Patea); as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 155991 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Agreement for Grant of Easement (Water Pipeline) in Favour of Christchurch City Council and a Grant of Easement (Stormwater Pipeline and Sewer Pipeline) in Favour of Christchurch Drainage Board Over Land in the City of Christchurch

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 28th day of October 1953 and published in Gazette 1953, page 1752, part of Waltham Road situated in the City of Christchurch was taken for the purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway:

And whereas there is a water main controlled by the Christchurch City Council and two sewers controlled by the Christchurch Drainage Board on the said land:

And whereas the Christchurch City Council and the Christchurch Drainage Board are entitled to compensation in respect of their respective interests on the said land:

And whereas the Minister of Railways has agreed to grant to the Christchurch City Council a pipeline easement over the land described in the Schedule hereto in part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:

And whereas the Minister of Railways has agreed to grant to the Christchurch Drainage Board two pipeline easements over the land described in the Schedule hereto in part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Railways hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreements hereinbefore referred to.
