Appointment of the Coromandel County Council to Control and Manage a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints the Coromandel County Council to control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a reserve for historic purposes and a site for a youth holiday and recreation camp, subject to the following special conditions:
(a) The Council may, at its discretion, make the land and buildings erected thereon available for use by recognised youth or community organisations for holiday camp or health camp purposes, and may make reasonable charges for the use thereof.
(b) The Council shall take all necessary steps to adequately maintain the land and buildings erected thereon, without recourse to the Crown for financial assistance.
(c) The Council shall take all necessary steps to preserve and care for the historic trees on the reserve.
