Declaring Lands in North Auckland and Wellington Land Districts Vested in the Auckland and Wellington Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may, from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which, in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation.
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Auckland Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wellington Education Board, as sites for public schools shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 4, Block XI, Maungaru Survey District: Area, 5 acres, more or less. (S.O. Plan 16609.)

SECOND SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
PART Lot 2, D.P. 284, being part Section 61, Opaki Block, situated in Block IX, Kopuaranga Survey District: Area, 1 rood 10·4 perches, more or less. Balance certificate of title, Volume 88, folio 23. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 22/3630/179A deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Crown Land Set Apart for a Police Station and for a Courthouse, in the Borough of Otahuhu

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a police station and the Crown land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a courthouse; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 5th day of May 1958.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of Crown land in the North Auckland Land District containing 2 roods 32·4 perches, situated in Block VI, Otahuhu Survey District, Borough of Otahuhu, Auckland R.D., and being part Fairburn’s Grant 269A; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 155841 (S.O. 40687) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
SECOND SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of Crown land in the North Auckland Land District containing 1 rood 16·5 perches, situated in Block VI, Otahuhu Survey District, Borough of Otahuhu, Auckland R.D., and being part Fairburn’s Grant 269A; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 155841 (S.O. 40687) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow, edged yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 23rd day of April 1958.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for road; and the Crown land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 6th day of May 1958.
