NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 14th day of April 1958, presented to the said Court by Textile Converters Ltd., and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at New Plymouth on the 2nd day of May 1958 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of the hearing in person or by counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Staff Housing Loan 1957

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Ohakune Borough Council resolved as follows at a meeting held on 16 April 1958:

“That, pursuant to section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £7,500 authorised to be raised for the construction of three staff dwellings in Mangawhero Terrace, the Ohakune Borough Council hereby makes and levies and appropriates and pledges a special rate of 4¹¹/₂₀d. (four and eleven twentieths pence) in the £ on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the borough of Ohakune; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

BOROUGH OF OHAKUNE

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Load Control Loan 1957

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Ohakune Borough Council resolved as follows at a meeting held on 16 April 1958:

“That, pursuant to section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £8,000 authorised to be raised for installing electricity load control equipment and effecting improvements in street lighting, the Ohakune Borough Council hereby makes and levies and appropriates and pledges a special rate of 6d. (sixpence) in the £ on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the borough of Ohakune; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

LYTTELTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Fire Appliance Loan 1958

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lyttelton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000 to be raised under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a fire appliance, the said Lyttelton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the £ upon the rateable value, on the basis of the annual value, of all rateable property situated in the Borough of Lyttelton; and that the rate shall be an annual-recurring rate and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is paid off.”

ASHBURTON ELECTRIC POWER AND GAS BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the power vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ashburton Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolved:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan of eighty thousand pounds (£80,000) authorised to be raised by the Ashburton Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act for providing further reticulation within the Board’s district, the said Ashburton Electric Power and Gas Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifteenth (1/15) of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Ashburton Electric Power and Gas Board’s district as defined by Proclamation proclaiming the said area dated the 17th day of November 1921 and extended by Proclamations dated the 14th day of March 1958, the 28th day of June 1950, the 27th day of November 1950, and the 12th day of January 1951, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
