NOTICE is hereby given that the undersigned, the liquidator of Hilton Killeen Ltd., which is being wound up voluntarily, does hereby fix the 14th day of April 1958, as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove debts or claims, and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 308 of the Companies Act 1955, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before the debts are proved or, as the case may be, from objecting to the distribution.

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Griffin and Sons Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Wainui Road, Lower Hutt, and carrying on business there and elsewhere in New Zealand as biscuit and confectionery manufacturers.

NOTICE is hereby given that an order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand dated the 25th day of March 1958, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £500,000 to £495,012, and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act, was registered by the Assistant Registrar of Companies at Wellington on the 27th day of March 1958. The said minute is in the words and figures following:

“The capital of Griffin and Sons Ltd. henceforth is £495,012 divided into 1,980,048 ordinary shares of 5s. each, having been reduced from £500,000 divided into 1,980,048 ordinary shares of 5s. each and 4,988 preference shares of £1 each by the cancellation of the said 4,988 preference shares. At the time of registration of this minute 1,751,016 of the said ordinary shares of 5s. each are issued and the full sum of 5s. has been and is deemed to be paid up on each of the said 1,751,016 shares. The remaining 229,032 ordinary shares of 5s. each are unissued.”

NOTICE is hereby given that Court Progress No. 6732 of the South Canterbury District of the Ancient Order of Foresters, register No. 252, held at St. Andrews, is dissolved by instrument, registered at this office the 26th day of March 1958, unless, within three months from the date of the Gazette in which this advertisement appears, proceedings be commenced by a member or other person interested in or having a claim on the funds of the Court to set aside such dissolution, and the same be set aside accordingly.

APPLICATION FOR A MINERAL LICENCE UNDER THE MINING ACT 1926

NOTICE is hereby given that Edward Eric Lawrence, of Alexandra, engineer, has applied on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen for a mineral licence to mine diatomaceous earth in an area of 26·2 acres, situated in Section 2, Block XI, Strath Taieri District, as defined on the plan attached to the said application.

The application will be heard at the Warden’s Court, Cromwell, on Wednesday, 21 May 1958, at 10 a.m. Objections must be filed in the Registrar’s office and notified to the applicant at least three days before the time appointed for hearing.

PAPAKURA BOROUGH COUNCIL

THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution of the Papakura Borough Council on the 3rd day of December 1956, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the Borough of Papakura. The scheme has been deposited in the Papakura Borough Office, the Papakura Court House, and the Papakura Public Library, and is there open for inspection without fee to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in the Form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 2nd day of July 1958. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk, in writing, within a period of which public notice will be given.
