DECLARATION OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO ADOPT SYSTEM OF RATING ON UNIMPROVED VALUE

Pursuant to section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Town District of Warkworth, taken on the 6th day of March 1958, on the proposal that the system of rating in the said Town District be on the unimproved value:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 94
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 50
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

MANGONUI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.

Notice is hereby given that the Mangonui County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of a public pleasure ground; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Commerce Street, Kaitaia.

SCHEDULE

All that land containing 1 acre 1 rood 5 perches, more or less, being Allotment 1, Section 1, Village of Taipa, as shown on Survey Office Plan No. 11581, and being part of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 1386, folio 29, Auckland Registry.

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the First Schedule hereto for road and to stop the pieces of road described in the Second Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken and of the pieces of road to be stopped is deposited in the office of the Otorohanga County Council at Ballance Street, Otorohanga, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land or by the stopping of the said pieces of road should, if they have any well grounded objections to the said taking or stopping, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the office of the County Council at Otorohanga.
