Pursuant to the Waterfront Industry Act 1953, the Minister of Labour hereby appoints the following persons to be the Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Westport for a term of one year expiring on the 28th day of February 1959:

Revocation of Appointment of Returning Officer for First Election of Members of Kakanui Rabbit Board (Notice No. Ag. 6478)

Pursuant to section 34 of the Rabbits Act 1955, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, hereby revokes the appointment of

Charles Nelson Brown
as Returning Officer to hold the first election of members of the Board of the Kakanui Rabbit District constituted under the said Act and to prepare the first ratepayers list for the said district.

Social Security Amendment Act 1939—Maternity Notice

Pursuant to section 13 (5) of the Social Security Amendment Act 1939, the Minister of Health hereby gives notice that advice has been received from Alexander Ironside Littlejohn MacDiarmid, M.B., CH.B.(N.Z.), F.R.C.S.(EDIN.), F.R.C.S. (ENG.), of Townleys Buildings, Peel Street, Gisborne, that he is unwilling to afford medical services in relation to maternity on the terms provided for in section 13 of the Social Security Amendment Act 1939, and that consequently he is entitled to recover any fees in respect of his professional services as if that Act had not been passed.

Licensing Keith Joslin Hart to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land Below Low-water Mark at Parematra in Porirua Harbour as a Site for a Shed and Slipway

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Keith Joslin Hart (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his executors, administrators, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Parematra in Porirua Harbour, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10290 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining a shed and slipway thereon as shown on the said plan; such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable five pounds (£5).
  3. The term of this licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of March 1958.
