The Heretaunga College Board of Governors Order 1958

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 10th day of March 1958
Present:
THE HON. C. F. SKINNER, M.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Heretaunga College Board of Governors Order 1958.
  2. The constitution of the Board of Governors of the school formerly known as Upper Hutt High School and now known as Heretaunga College, prescribed by the Upper Hutt High School Board of Governors Order 1953,* is hereby varied so that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in section 90 of the Education Act 1914, the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Wellington Education Board;
    (b) Four members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school:
    (c) One member appointed by the Governor-General:
    (d) One member appointed by the Upper Hutt Borough Council:
    (e) One member appointed by the Hutt County Council:
    (f) Three members elected by the members of the school committees of the Brentwood Public School, the Fraser Crescent Public School, the Mangaroa Public School, the Maymorn Public School, the Oxford Crescent Public School, the Pinehaven Public School, the Silverstream Public School, the Te Marua Public School, the Trentham Public School, and the Upper Hutt Public School.
  3. The Minister of Education may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, amend the list of schools to which paragraph (f) of clause 2 of this order applies.
  4. The Upper Hutt High School Board of Governors Order 1953 is hereby revoked.

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Extending Period Within Which the Commission to Inquire Into and Report Upon Proposals for the Alteration of the Boundaries of the Inner Area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District Shall Report

To all to whom these presents shall come and to:
ARCHIBALD ALBANY McLACHLAN, of Lower Hutt, Stipendiary Magistrate;
NORMAN HAROLD MOSS, O.B.E., of Stratford; and WALTER ALEXANDER LEE, O.B.E., of Waitomo:
Greeting.
Whereas, pursuant to sections 4 and 6 of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1944, you, the said Archibald Albany McLachlan, Norman Harold Moss, and Walter Alexander Lee, were appointed on the 6th day of February 1958, to be a Commission of Inquiry under the Commissions of Inquiry Act 1908, to inquire into and report upon proposals for the alteration of the boundaries of the Inner Area of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District and for the alteration of the basis of representation upon the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board:
And whereas it is expedient that the time for so reporting should be extended:
Now, therefore, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby extend until the 10th day of April 1958, the time within which you are so required to report:
And I hereby confirm the said Commission, save as modified by these presents.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 19th day of March 1958.

Pursuant to regulation 5 of the regulations under the Cook Islands Act 1915 for the Protection of Indigenous and Imported Birds made on the 19th day of June 1916, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Cook Islands (Mynah) Notice 1958.
  2. Mynah may be taken or killed in the Island of Rarotonga during the period commencing on the 1st day of March 1958 and ending with the 28th day of February 1959.
    As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 28th day of February 1958.
