RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL
PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR SANITARY DRAINAGE WORKS
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments and the Counties Act 1956 and its amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Rodney County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute certain works, namely, the construction of oxidation ponds for sanitary drainage on that parcel of land situated in the Wellsford Riding of the County of Rodney, containing 10 acres 2 roods 33·5 perches, more or less, being part of Section 40 of Block XVI of the Otamataea Survey District, and part of the land comprised in certificate of title registered in Volume 370, folio 201 of the Register Book of the Auckland Land Registry; which said land is shown coloured yellow on Survey Office Plan No. 40691 and for the purpose of such public work the said land is required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situated at the Council Chambers, Warkworth, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and amendments and the Counties Act 1956 and amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute certain works, viz., the construction and formation of a public road passing through or adjoining the several parcels of land referred to hereunder and situated in the Pukeatua Riding of the County of Waitemata, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
And notice is hereby given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situated in the Council Chambers, 199 Karangahape Road, Auckland, and are open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by taking of the said lands must state their objection in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD AND TO STOP ROAD IN BLOCK XIII, PUNIU SURVEY DISTRICT, AND BLOCKS VIII AND XVI, PIRONGIA SURVEY DISTRICT, OTOROHANGA COUNTY
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the First Schedule hereto for road and to stop the pieces of road described in the Second Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken and of the pieces of road to be stopped is deposited in the office of the Otorohanga County Council at Ballance Street, Otorohanga, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land or by the stopping of the said pieces of road should, if they have any well grounded objections to the said taking or stopping, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the office of the County Council at Otorohanga.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Abattoir Extension Loan 1957, £7,300
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Tauranga Borough Council held on 3 March 1958, the following resolution was passed:
“That, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Abattoir Extension Loan 1957 of £7,300 authorised to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending the Tauranga Borough Council abattoir buildings and purchasing additional plant and equipment, the said Tauranga Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five seven pence (·057d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Tauranga, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waterworks Additional Loan (No. 2) 1957, £13,000
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Tauranga Borough Council held on 3 March 1958, the following resolution was passed:
“That, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Waterworks Additional Loan (No. 2) 1957 of £13,000 authorised to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing, increasing, and improving the Council’s water-supply system, including a new main from the headworks, filter plant material, main and new mains within the Borough, the said Tauranga Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought seven five seven pence (·0757d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Tauranga, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twelve years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
