Claims Against German Company
———
THE Minister of External Affairs has been informed that, under a law of the Federal Republic of Germany now in force, the liquidators of I.G. Farben Industrie A.G. have invited persons who have claims against that company to file them with the company not later than 31 December 1957.
The claims covered by the new legislation are those arising from financial or commercial transactions and all other kinds of claims against the company, for instance, claims of former inmates of German concentration camps or labour camps who were compelled to work for I.G. Farben Industrie A.G. or its subsidiaries.
Claims against the company not filed by 31 December will become void and may no longer be pursued, unless they result from bounded debts or unless they had been filed with the company or had otherwise become known to it at an earlier date.
The filing notice should contain full details and documentation, including the name and address of the claimant and a short statement of the facts on which the claim is based. Claims should be filed in triplicate and should be addressed to:
I.G. Farben A.G., in liquidation,
Glaeubiger meldestelle,
Frankfurt am Main,
Bockenheimer Landstrasse 53,
Germany.
Dated at Wellington this 17th day of December 1957.
A. D. McINTOSH, Secretary of External Affairs.
